We had another sonogram yesterday and got some good pictures. (Well, by good, I mean: better. I always feel like these pictures are so strange looking, or you can hardly tell at all what you are looking at). But, getting a glimpse of this baby's sweet face made me so happy! I am getting so excited to actually meet and hold him! It was fun to watch him move around, kick and punch, bring his hand up to his lips, etc. :)
On his back, with hands and feet up above him
These two are 3D. It takes a minute to see it, but you can see his little face, nose, lips and eyes near the top left of the picture. The sound waves distort the image, which is why the rest of it looks sort of strange...
And here's one of his little arm and fingers up by his head! In this picture his nose looks exactly like Saylor's did in her 3D sonogram!
Saylor came with me and sat in her stroller for the whole thing - she was really well behaved and patient. She just read her books and chattered to the sonographer. Later in the day, she told Matt: "I see baby brother on the TV! Oh my, that's a CUTE baby!"

Mae came to play one day and the girls had so much fun!
Playing on the bed
And having an awesome tea party inside the tent
We took a trip to Tyler to see Caroline and baby Ellie - Saylor hasn't stopped talking about them since! :)Here she is giving Ellie a hug.

Saylor Says
To the lady checking us out at the grocery store: "Good job! I so proud of you!"
Suddenly dropping to the floor in a downward-dog pose: "Look mommy, I do yogi!"
Pointing to Morty, our cat, stretched out on the floor: "Look mommy, kitty do yogi!"
Watching me clean white cookie icing off the rug (Harry helped himself when I wasn't looking): "Santa Clause eat cookies!" (same kind of cookies we left for Santa on Christmas Eve).
To ANY and EVERY one we see these days, such as people at the store, in the car next to us at a stop light, etc.: "Mommy, who dat?!" (This question is never ending!)
Picking up a dust ball off the floor and bringing it to me: "SICK!" (ooops....guess she learned that one from me).
When asked who she is going to see at church: "Harper, Lauren, Corby, Mare, Reido, Jesus!"
When requesting to watch Lady and the Tramp: "Mommy, I watch own coffee (my own copy) lady and trampoline?"

She's TWO!
Saylor turned 2 last week on January 5th! We had a fun time celebrating her big day! My sister was visiting all week and we LOVED having her here. Saylor loved playing with her and Ellen did so much to make both her birthday and mine (I turned the big 30 this year!) so special. Saylor went to school on her actual bday and then we had a couple friends over for dinner and cupcakes. Then this weekend we got a chance to celebrate in Houston with both sets of grandparents, aunts and uncle. She sure is one loved little 2 year old girl!
How we started the day...she was obsessed with these and later kept asking to get back in the crib with them!
Having fun on her new trampoline
After school at the park with Aunt Ellen!Blowing out her candle
Enjoying some birthday cupcakes!
She loves Lauren and Harper!
And Mare too! Wearing her head lamp with sleeping bag back pack!
My mom made delicious home made ice cream to go with her cake in Houston...yum!
We can't believe she is 2 already!
Hamming it up with Nona and Dave
Celebrating with all the family
Loving her new tricycle from PopPop and Gammy
Rockin the diva sunglasses, a gift from my sister's boyfriend Miguel!
Just love this picture of Saylor and Ellen doing "yogi" together :)
Thanks to our wonderful friends and all our family who made our birthdays so special this year! We are so lucky to have all of you in our lives!
And last but not least, here is a little birthday montage of Saylor's first two years that I made. This is probably only interesting to the grandparents, but it was definitely fun to take a trip down memory lane while putting it together. It's so hard to believe how quickly time has gone, and to think we will be doing this all over again in a few short months! I want to treasure each day with these sweet kiddos! Saylor, you have simple brought SO MUCH love and joy into our lives each day and we are incredibly thankful for you! Happy Birthday! (I put music on this so you'll have to pause the music player at the bottom of the page).

We're having a BOY!!!!
Yes, that's right, we found out the news today and we are very, VERY excited! It's still hard for me to believe even as I type this. We feel so blessed to have one of each...how much fun?! And most of all we are thankful that everything on the sonogram looked great and baby looks healthy!
It's funny how with both Saylor and this baby the "find out the gender day" is such a BIG day. It's so final and makes everything feel so much more real. I will always remember both days so fondly. I will remember sitting in the waiting room with Matt after the sonogram (waiting to see the Dr.), processing the news, laughing and talking quietly about how we feel, what it means for our family, whether we expected it or not. It's like God let's you in on this big, fun secret that He's known for 20 weeks (well, obviously longer), and we just get to finally enjoy it. It also brings a wonderful sense of getting to know the unique person this little life is growing inside me! Can't wait to meet him in about 20 more weeks!
My sweet sister is here visiting this week, so after we picked her up at the airport and told her the exciting news, we stopped so I could make my first "boy" purchase:
Not sure why but I have always thought this style of shoes is SO cute on little boys! :) Wow, a whole new world to explore!
Sweet Saylor is still a bit confused...we've been talking about "baby brother or baby sister" for so long it seems that she can't quite process that it is in fact now a boy. But I know that will come soon and she will be such a great big sister to a little boy! I hope and pray that they will have a very special relationship!
