Happy 9 Month Birthday Saylor! As grandma put it today on the phone: "now you've been out as long as you were in!" :) We just can't believe how quickly time is going...you truly fill our lives with so much joy and we are so thankful for you.
I took Saylor for her 9 month well check up today, although she isn't exactly well at the moment. Though the bug she had a couple weeks ago had been gone for almost a week, she randomly started vomiting last Thursday night and this has been our first throw up free day since. No fun. But what is fun is the stool sample we have to get so that the Dr. can make sure she doesn't have a parasite. (just kidding of course -sorry if I am being way too graphic for some of you bloggers). He said it's NOT the flu because she's had no congestion of any sort. So hopefully she won't be catching that later this season...ugh!
Other than this illness that we can't seem to beat at the moment, Saylor is a happy, healthy girl. She is eating and growing well. She has been very happy lately and sooooooooo cuddly. She is changing so quickly too! In the past week she has started holding my cell phone up to her ear to "listen" and also sort of waving "hi." I also think some of the "mama's" and "dada's" that she babbles she is now using purposefully. Of course, it's hard to know for sure. She has been much more talkative lately and we are loving her cute new teeth as you can sort of see in the first picture. She can really ham it up for the camera when she's in the mood to sit still. She has a new shopping cart that she sometime will push around on her knees, and she is getting more speedy at crawling. But all in all her favorite thing to do is still just stand. :) We've also been noticing a little bit more whining lately when she doesn't get her way...hmmm...I'm sure that doesn't come from me. :) Her favorite books are ones with close up drawings of faces or animals and her favorite food seems to be yogurt, or any kind of bread/puff that she can feed herself. She also loves going for rides in the car or stroller...she's content for quite some time which is nice!
