15 Months

Gray is 15 months old! It has been so much fun to watch him grow and change, and as usual, I can't believe how fast time is flying. I wish I could just capture him as he is now in my heart forever and never forget this stage.

What he loves: his sister, his lovey, running and chasing, reading books (especially about animals or Dora), crashing blocks, playing outside,  playing with toys and making big splashes in the bath, fruit (especially berries - we have to hide the fruit until the end of the meal or he won't eat anything else), petting our cat and dog, anything that you open/close or take in/out - figuring out how things work, rubbing food through his hair while he eats (i do NOT love this), throwing food down from his highchair (or this), music (dancing and clapping, spinning in circles with Saylor), playing the drums on furniture or on his tummy, playing catch or any game with a ball, pushing the buttons on the elevator

What he does not love: getting his hair washed in the bath, swimming, many foods (somewhat of a picky eater but getting better), having his diaper changed, when Saylor takes a toy he's holding

What he is up to:
Climbing any chance he gets

Making a mess! Getting into anything and everything he can get his hands on. And he is quick!

He sleeps well through the night and takes one nap a day (ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours long)

He has six teeth and at least three more on the way right now

Still battling ear infections :(

He still seems to be kind of up and down with his speech and has definitely developed motor skills more quickly, but I am trying my best not to worry or compare him to his big sis. He definitely talks more when big sis is not around...ha! Partly his personality is just much more quiet than hers.

He is still a pretty laid back guy all in all, but is definitely learning to express his opinion. He has started having little fits when he doesn't get something wants which really just make us laugh. He lets out a high pitched whine and hinges forward at the waist for about 15 seconds until something else gets his attention. Yesterday was the first time he blatantly told me "no" (when I told him to sit down in the bathtub). Yikes!

He cries a little bit every time I leave him at the gym or at school, but thankfully it doesn't last long.

He is in a bit of mama/daddy phase right now...doesn't want to really be held much by other people.

What I don't want to forget:
The grin on his face every time he sees his lovey
Snuggling with me when I rock him to sleep
Watching him run
Watching him dance
How he chimes in at certain parts every time while Saylor sings her song from Peter Pan- it makes me laugh every time!
How he almost always smells like food, usually strawberries
His open mouth kisses
When he takes my hand and leads me to something he wants help with

One other thing he loves is putting on his shoes. He will frequently sit down and spend a good five minutes trying to put them on. Today while we were waiting for the doctor he insisted on wearing them:

 Let's go, mom!
I want to get out of this room!
